Solutions for Keeping the Weight Off

There are no easy answers to losing weight and keeping it off.  There are only simple actions that on a daily basis can help to improve your chances of losing weight and once thinner, prevent weight from coming back.

  1. Don’t eat so much.  Eat smaller portions more frequently throughout the day.
  2. Don’t eat junk.  Eat fresh vegetables and fresh fruit.  Limit or eliminate your intake of junk food, fast food and candy.
  3. Drink plenty of water.  Make water your beverage of choice, followed by green tea, Long Haul Energy Plus and a moderate amount of coffee.
  4. Get up and move around.  You don’t have to run a marathon to stimulate your metabolism.  In fact you don’t have to run at all.  Walking for 30 minutes a day or 10 minutes three times a day will help to stimulate your metabolism and burn fat.
  5. Try not to stress out.  Stress can cause our metabolism to slow down and increase our cravings for sweets and high fat foods.  Don’t give in to stress eating habits, find healthy alternatives to overcoming stress.

Whatever you do, don’t give up.  Weight loss is an on-going process that has to be taken on daily.  Building healthful habits is the only lasting solution to weight loss.
